ABOUT THE SHOW
Around 15,000 visitors flocked to Forres to enjoy this year’s family-friendly spectacular (November 8-19, 2017) which was inspired by the stunning natural setting of Cluny Hill.
The interactive show, which cost over £200,000 to stage, took visitors on a journey through Grant Park, illuminating the natural landscape in an array of colourful sound and light, before heading towards a show-stopping finale at Nelson’s Tower on Cluny Hill.
The dazzling visuals included a multitude of special effects and state-of-the-art lighting technologies. This year’s show fired the imagination (quite literally!) with a fire pit for toasting marshmallows, flame shooters, live performances and some truly mesmerizing UV special effects.
Highlights included giant stars twinkling in the night sky, throwing out their light and revealing the landscape beyond.
Meanwhile, the climax of the show centred around Nelson’s Tower which came alive in an ever-changing swirl of colours and patterns before the incredible stilt-walking performers kicked off their rope-swinging, fire juggling extravaganza.
Scotland’s most northerly sound and light show attracted footfall both locally and from across the UK with extremely positive feedback:
Alistair Gray: “Once again had a great night. The show was amazing. Thank you to all who made it possible.”
Allana Islei: “Last night was magical! We had a wonderful time.”
