Thousands set to descend on Forres for inaugural Colours of Cluny

Forres’ first spectacular light and sound show, Colours of Cluny, is set to attract thousands of visitors to Forres to experience the vibrant show that will light up the towns Grant Park and Nelson’s Tower when it begins its 10-night run next Wednesday 9th November.

Organisers Forres Features Community Interest Company have teamed up with some of the creative team behind the multi-award winning Enchanted Forest including lighting designer Kate Bonney, who is well acquainted with landscape having grown up in Forres. The event, which is the first of its kind in Morayshire, will light up northern skies in a dazzling display of colour from 9th-20th November.

The interactive show, costing over £120,000 to stage, will take visitors on a journey through Grant Park, illuminating the natural landscape in an array of colourful sound and light, before heading towards a show-stopping finale at Nelson’s Tower on Cluny Hill.

Graham Murdoch, Chairman of Forres Features Community Interest Company said:

“With installation now well underway, we cannot wait to welcome the thousands of people who have already bought their tickets to Colours of Cluny. We’ve worked with some of the UK’s best creative talent to bring an exceptional display of light and sound that uses the natural beauty of Forres as its backdrop and is definitely not to be missed! We are extremely grateful for the huge support we have received, both financial and in other manners, which has allowed this event to become a reality. We urge people who haven’t booked their tickets yet to do so now to avoid disappointment. ”

Kate Bonney commented:

“Having grown up in Forres, I can’t wait for visitors to see the area in a new and exciting way. When we work on projects such as this, our main aim is to get people to look up and see the environment in a different way and that is exactly what we’ve tried to do for Colours of Cluny.”

The show will run on Wednesdays to Sundays from 9th – 20th November and tickets are available from their website at www.coloursofcluny.com or by calling 0844 888 9991.
